PIKESVILLE-- The Panthers got back on the winning track on Wednesday night, at home, with a 45-41 win over the Western Tech Wolverines. Both teams went back and forth during the game, matching one another, basket for basket during the game. The Panthers were led by Devohn Gilmore, who contributed 17 points, to lead all scorers. Devohn's quickness and strength went unchecked by the Wolverines. Junior, forward Warren Wyatt got his first start of the season, he came up empty in the points category. Freddie Sellers was once again the fastest player on the court. Sellers ended the game with 11 points. Senior Rasheed Salau was a force in the paint, playing against one of the tallest guys in Baltimore County basketball. Salau added 8 points. Alfonzo Timmons and Desmond Davis added 4, and 2 points, respectively. Deondre Jackson, Ian Lee, and Jarell Cox all added 1 point to the Panthers winning campaign. Western Tech was led by Center, Robert Stokes (24) with 13 points, and Chris Arant (12) with 11. The Panthers are looking to start a winning streak this Friday, January 23, at Sparrows Point High School, home of the Pointers.
